The air-Q is much more than an air measuring device. The data on room air provides important information for your Smart Home. As a sensor centre, the air-Q can serve as a signal generator for automatic window opening, the control of air purifiers or even the switching on and off of heaters, depending on the room use, pollution, number of people (and much more). Since the air-Q provides a multitude of parameters, completely new possibilities for your Smart Home arise.
If there is no known WLAN in the vicinity of the air-Q, the air-Q itself creates a WLAN hotspot (name "air-Q [serial number]"). A connection can be established with the air-Q hotspot (password corresponds to the device password of the air-Q). An external router is then no longer required to query the data. When the air-Q gets close to a known WLAN again, the device automatically connects to the known router without rebooting. The air-Q hotspot is then deactivated and a direct connection is no longer possible.
This allows the air-Q to be used on the road or in environments where a router is not available.
