air-Q - Functions for professional users

In addition to live data updated every second (without requiring an internet connection), measurement data can optionally be transmitted to the air-Q Cloud. To use this feature, you must create an online account at my.air-q.com and enable data upload in the air-Q—you decide which data to upload. With the air-Q Cloud, you can access real-time measurement data on the go via the air-Q smartphone app and web app for an unlimited number of air-Qs.

With the air-Q, you can set unlimited audible alarms with your own threshold values for each measurement parameter. You can also use our preset alarms for fire and gas. In addition, with the air-Q’s Smart Alarms, you can receive visual, push, and email notifications for fire, smoke, gas, break-ins, and system failures—or you can define your own rules and thresholds.

The air-Q supports many smart home standards. We and our active community are constantly developing further integrations and plug-ins. If your desired smart home / smart building standard is not yet included, please contact us.

All measurement data is permanently stored on the air-Q's internal memory card. The measurement data can be downloaded directly from the SD card as JSON files. Using our converter, the measurement data can be converted to CSV format.

Using the air-Q smartphone app, you can also access all measurement data in real time via a direct connection without needing a Wi-Fi router. The measurement values are transmitted in real time from air‑Q your smartphone via the Wi-Fi Direct connection (2-second measurement interval). This means you can use the air‑Q the go—no other device can do that! Optionally, you can also connect the air-Q to your mobile hotspot, making it even more convenient to use the air-Q while on the go.

With the advanced events and notifications, you can set an unlimited number of custom thresholds. When these thresholds are reached, alarms can be triggered or events can be controlled. For example, when a threshold is reached, an unlimited number of actions can be triggered via webhooks (such as controlling a smart plug ).

Our new AI Air Quality Advisor (Beta) uses artificial intelligence to analyze your air quality data and provide tailored recommendations. It can identify complex patterns in your measurement data and derive personalized, actionable recommendations based on them. The assistant is particularly valuable for facility managers and health and safety officers who want to make data-driven decisions. In addition, we offer the option to generate automatic reports and send them as PDFs. These can assist with, among other things, the creation of long-term records (radon, mold, noise, cigarette smoke).

All measurement data is always stored free of charge on the air-Q’s internal memory card in JSON format and can be converted to CSV for further processing. For businesses and research institutions, we also offer advanced export functions that can be accessed via the web app. All measurement data can be conveniently exported via the web app as CSV, XLSX, or JSON, enabling seamless further processing in statistical software. Data exports can be automated and scheduled to simplify regular evaluations.

All data in the air-Q Cloud is stored in high resolution for at least one month. All customers with premium features receive unlimited volume and high-resolution data storage for measurement data in the air-Q Cloud. Not only can you conveniently reuse all historical data at any time, but you also benefit from a secure backup and documentation of your measurement data.

As a premium feature, you can integrate your own external sensors into the air-Q Cloud database and use all available air-Q features. The external data sources are treated like "internal" air-Q measurements, with full functionality in the air-Q smartphone app and air-Q web app.

With the introduction of two additional chart types, we are providing greater clarity for users with multiple air-Qs and measurement parameters. The ability to overlay up to three charts simultaneously gives professionals even more options for analysis.

Our new Plenty Sensors chart also allows scientific users to view all measurement data from an air-Q at a glance, making it even easier to identify correlations (coming soon).

air-Q Smart Widgets allow the integration of sensor data in the form of self-updating measured value displays or diagrams on external screens, websites or in presentations without requiring a user account from the viewer. A free online account in the air-Q cloud is required for this.

With the air-Q widget dashboards, you can arrange important air quality data according to your needs and display it at a glance. You can choose from a variety of widgets, including real-time measurement maps, trend charts and summaries of air quality indices. The dashboards can be customized and configured for different rooms or departments.

air-Q Science devices allow access to the air‑Q (REST API). Through this API interface, you can communicate directly with the air-Q device to access advanced firmware features and configure custom settings. Cloud access is not required.

Please note: Access to the local API is available only in air‑Q and upon request for custom device configurations.

For advanced integration scenarios, we offer a fully documented API. This enables direct integration with your existing systems, such as building management systems, HVAC systems, or business intelligence tools. With the REST API, you can automatically retrieve measurement data, remotely control devices, and set up custom alerts.
