We take a long-term approach with the air-Q and focus on durability and reusability. The air-Q is designed to be easily repairable and thus durable thanks to high-quality components and replaceable sensors. At the same time, we consciously consider the impact of our product on the environment and try to keep it as low as possible.
Longevity

The air-Q air analyser is manufactured in-house. Nevertheless, we cannot do without external service providers, as e.g. PCB production and assembly are highly specialised tasks. For the production of the air-Q, we rely on local service providers and suppliers - in addition to our specialists for PCB production, also for the housing. The short distances allow us to constantly control the quality and to work more closely with our partners. In addition, it saves transport routes and thus protects our environment.
The best components in the world and still local
The air-Q uses the best sensors and components from brand manufacturers in Europe and around the world. Whenever possible, we source components from local suppliers and use service providers in our area.

The air-Q consists of several hundred different components. We have tracked our carbon footprint. In total, we are responsible for 5.56 kg of carbon dioxide emissions for an average equipped air-Q - this is a very low value that is only achieved through the conscious selection of components and suppliers.
More trees for less CO₂ in the air

The very small carbon footprint of the air-Q is already compensated by the growth of a tree (beech) on average within half a year (source). Once a year, we therefore plant trees in Germany with our partner PLANT-MY-TREE. We assume an average lifetime of 20 years per tree.
