Monitor air quality and living spaces, measure chemicals and carbon monoxide

Good air for your family

The pollution of the air you breathe poses a risk to your health and that of your loved ones that should not be underestimated. Especially indoors, many different substances accumulate due to a lack of air exchange. In addition to metabolic products, sometimes dangerous pollutants are also produced - by furniture and carpets, outgassing on toys and solvents during handicrafts, by electrical appliances or even during cooking.

The air-Q air analyser records all relevant parameters of the air, monitors them for you and warns you when defined limit values are exceeded. In this way, sources of pollutants can also be easily and quickly identified and eliminated - for the protection of the whole family.

How and where do pollutants and hazards arise at home?

Whether you feel comfortable within your own four walls depends very much on the air quality and thus the air pollutants. Today's particularly sealed buildings and windows not only keep the heat inside, but also the undesirable effects and pollutants produced there. In this context, one also speaks of the so-called "sick building syndrome". Besides humidity, carbon dioxide levels and odours, other pollutants also affect your well-being and health.

In the bedroom, the level of carbon dioxide and water vapour rises sharply overnight. In addition, there is often no heating during the day. This can lead to an unhealthy climate in the bedroom. Sleep, however, is for relaxation and should be as stress-free as possible.

Next to the bedroom, the living room is the most frequently used room. It is often home to carpets, wooden furniture, plastic furnishings and other electrical appliances or even fireplaces. In addition to the metabolic product carbon dioxide, gases such as formaldehyde, nitrogen dioxide, ozone from electrical appliances, the critical carbon monoxide from heaters or fireplaces, or substances such as particulates can accumulate throughout the home. This must be recognised and avoided, e.g. by switching off sources of pollution.

All measured values can be viewed and analysed via the air-Q smartphone app. Nothing remains undetected, because the sensors used in the air-Q measure at a sampling rate of less than two seconds - in other words, in real time.
The air-Q can also be networked and works with common smart home standards. Thanks to the open data interfaces, there are no limits to your own in-depth analyses and connections to your smart home.

Who is particularly at risk from bad air?

The air that surrounds us always and everywhere has a significant influence on the well-being of everyone in the household. Especially children, senior citizens and people with pre-existing conditions suffer from poor air quality. But poor air quality is also a problem for adults who are actually healthy. Often, those affected are not even aware of why they feel bad and get headaches, for example.

Protect mucous membranes from allergies

Pregnant

Even short-term exposure to air pollution causes thyroid dysfunction in expectant mothers. particulates, for example, has already been detected in the placenta. These factors increase the risks for e.g. maldevelopment of the brain of unborn children or premature births and miscarriages.
Protect airways and lungs from allergies

Children

Children are particularly vulnerable because their bodies are still developing. They are also much less able to recognise stressful situations and dangers themselves. Early exposure to pollutants increases the risk of dangerous inflammations of the lower respiratory tract, can impair the development of the brain and can even cause allergies in the first place. The development or worsening of mental illnesses, such as depression, anxiety disorders and ADHD, have also been linked to air pollution.

Parents

Poor sleep and a limited ability to concentrate due to bad air increase the stress level and reduce mental resilience. Many measurable air pollutants are suspected of causing numerous diseases, such as dementia, cancer, cardiovascular diseases and can even lead to a long-term reduced IQ.
