What exactly is crowdfunding?
Crowdfunding refers to a model in which interesting projects can be supported by a financial advance. The project to be financed presents itself on a special platform, such as Kickstarter. In this way, supporters can easily obtain all information about the project and the product and decide whether they want to support or buy what is being offered.
The difference to a "normal" purchase on the internet is that the supporters support the production of the product with their share. In addition, they get the unique chance to communicate directly with the developers and thus get involved in the development process. From the campaign to the delivery, the forestry step can be transparently tracked on the platform and thus creates a relationship of trust between the suppliers and the interested parties.
Crowdfunding is therefore not only about the product on offer, but also centrally about the background, the provider and the development process. If the targeted sum is not raised, all supporters of the crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter will receive their deposit back in full.
How do you become a supporter?
We would be delighted if you would like to help produce the air-Q in series and thus make it available, first for yourself and eventually for everyone.
You can find our crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. After registering on Kickstarter, you have the option here to choose from several offer variants, e.g. the single device or the family package.
From there, you will be automatically redirected to the payment form and will receive a confirmation email after completing the payment. You will receive your chosen product as soon as we have completed the final steps of production - thanks to your contribution and the successful crowdfunding. After that, the air-Q will then be available in stores with a certain lead time.
Why should you support our Kickstarter campaign?
- Only if we receive enough orders via the crowdfunding campaign can we start the series production of our air quality sensor. The fixed costs for the necessary tools, e.g. for the production of the housing and the individual components, amount to a five-figure sum.
- You will get the air-Q much cheaper than it will be available in stores later. We make no profit here, but are able to cover the one-off costs with your help.
- You will receive the air-Q much earlier than later buyers in the trade.
- In addition to receiving your air-Q once production is complete, joining the campaign allows you to participate in the development process first-hand as a supporter. Not only can you receive regular updates on the development process here. The platform also gives you the chance to enter into dialogue directly with the developers of the air-Q senor and to participate in decision-making processes that are still pending.
How can you help the air-Q campaign to become successful?
In order for the Kickstarter campaign to be successful and for our air-Q to take the important step towards series production, we need many supporters as quickly as possible. Especially the beginning of the campaign is enormously important, as it massively increases media attention. This increases the likelihood that even more interested people will join our crowdfunding campaign. But it is also worthwhile for you to join early. Because we offer early-bird prices that bring even more significant discounts for first-time buyers.
