What does the wet-bulb temperature indicate?
The wet-bulb temperature is the lowest temperature that can be achieved through the evaporation of water—the drier the air, the lower it is than the normal air temperature. It thus indicates the cooling potential available through evaporation in the air and is important, for example, for evaporative cooling, cooling towers, and the assessment of heat stress.
