The air-Q and the air-Q App and Web App support the languages German, English and French. From spring 2025, the app will also be available in Spanish. The language is set when the air-Q app is started for the first time and can be changed later in the main menu at the top right under "App settings".
The VOC sensor in the air-Q is very flexible and can detect a wide range of VOCs. These include formaldehydebenzene, toluene, xylene, acetone, styrene, terpenes, trichloroethylene, tetrachloroethylene, naphthalene, ethyl acetate, methanol, chloroform, cyclohexane or 1,3-butadiene as well as hundreds of other VOCs. Unfortunately, VOC sensors in general, including the VOC sensor in the air-Q, output the VOC measured value as a total value. This means that the substances mentioned above can be measured but not output individually. If these or other VOCs are in the air, the VOC measured value will increase. However, it remains unclear which chemical is the driver of the measured value.
The VOC PID sensor offered for the air-Q Science can be set to a substance so that the exact quantity can be quantified very well. Attention: The VOC PID sensor is only suitable for professional applications in laboratories or industry.
Yes, the measurement data is stored on an SD card in the device. Depending on the product variant, it is 16 GB in size. With a data volume of 1.5 MB per day and all planned additional functions and data, the storage space is sufficient for well over 10 years.
