The air-Q is designed for indoor use. Outside, splash water or rain can penetrate and damage the electronics. However, if the device is protected from direct water, it can also be used for outdoor measurements for short periods. Condensing moisture must be avoided at all costs, otherwise the air-Q may be irreparably damaged. The air-Q can be used under a roof, for example, within the scope of the specifications (data sheet) .
Caution: When measuring outdoors, however, the electrochemical sensors (such as ozone and nitrogen dioxide) may provide inconsistent measured values in places, as the strong temperature and humidity fluctuations outside affect the sensors due to the measuring principle and the calibration must be improved (--> automatic calibration of the air-Q).
