Detect cigarette smoke and vape vapor, trigger and document alarms
Cigarette smoke is a complex mixture of gases. It mainly consists of particulates, carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide and various chemicals such as nicotine and other VOCs. People react differently to cigarette smoke. They can be individually warned if smoking is unauthorized or undesirable. Vape vapors are similarly complex. They consist of water vapor, volatile hydrocarbons / VOCs, carbon monoxide and other substances. particulates are hardly contained and vape vapors are therefore difficult to detect. Please also read our article on measuring vape vapors.
There are no fixed legal limits for cigarette smoke . The air-Q makes it possible to activate a cigarette room alarm.
Furthermore, you can also set your own limit values for the detection of disturbing cigarette smoke. The following measured variables are components of cigarette smoke and can be measured by the air-Q.
Fire alarm and smoke alarm with push / mail messages

The air-Q has an integrated fire alarm (or smoke alarm), which triggers an acoustic and visual alarm on the device. Through the connection of several high-quality sensors, the air-Q acts as a very fine and precise smoke detector that triggers decisively earlier. Optionally, the fire / smoke alarm can also be configured as a push message and mail notification.
Depending on the presence of the corresponding sensors, the fire alarm is triggered at the following thresholds:
Note: The air-Q cannot be used as a legal smoke detector, as requirements for installation location and independence from mains power are not met for this. The air-Q is powered by a power cable and not by batteries. However, the air-Q can complement the existing smoke detector, already to potentially dangerous situations through more sensors more accurately detect and notify and thus also - possibly decisively - earlier alarm.
