The air-Q can also be used without Wi-Fi. After startup, the device records all data to the included SD card. The data can then be accessed—without a router—via a direct Wi-Fi connection (smartphone → air-Q) from anywhere. As soon as a known Wi-Fi network comes back within range, the air-Q connects to it. Depending on the settings (cloud upload enabled), the data is then uploaded to the cloud, including retroactively.
In addition, the air-Q can save multiple Wi-Fi networks. It then connects to the strongest known network.
