A Sustainable Approach to Better Air Quality

With the air-Q, we are taking a long-term approach and are committed to durability and reusability. Thanks to high-quality components and interchangeable sensors, the air-Q is designed to be easily repairable and, therefore, built to last. At the same time, we consciously consider our product’s impact on the environment and strive to keep it as low as possible.

Local, fair production ensures quality

air-Q — Made in Germany, Fair Local Production

The air-Q air analyzer is manufactured at our own facilities. Even so, we cannot do without external suppliers, since, for example, the manufacture and assembly of printed circuit boards are highly specialized tasks. In the production of the air-Q, we rely on local suppliers and service providers—not only for our printed circuit board manufacturing specialists but also for the housing. These short supply chains allow us to constantly monitor quality and collaborate more closely with our partners. Furthermore, this reduces transportation distances and, as a result, helps protect our environment.

The best components from around the world—and yet locally sourced

The air-Q uses the best sensors and components from leading manufacturers in Europe and around the world. Whenever possible, we source components from local suppliers and use service providers in our area.

Components of the air-Q

Calculated in carbon dioxide

The air-Q's Carbon Footprint — Breakdown

The air-Q consists of several hundred different components. We have calculated our carbon footprint. In total, we are responsible for 5.56 kg of carbon dioxide emissions for a standard air-Q, a very low figure that can only be achieved through a careful selection of components and suppliers. By way of comparison: manufacturing an average smartphone generates about 100 kg of carbon dioxide.

More Trees for Less CO₂ in the Air

PLANT-MY-TREE — Planting Trees to Reduce CO2

The air-Q's very small carbon footprint is already offset by the growth of a tree (beech) in an average of half a year. That's why we plant trees once a year in Germany with our partner PLANT-MY-TREE. We assume an average lifespan of 20 years per tree.
